The season’s opening time trial was held over the flat 5 mile course at Preston on a crisp and clear evening. Robbie Mitchell professed himself pleasantly surprised with his early season form, ahead of Lester Grant and Graeme Small. Jane Holmes was a place ahead of Anna White in what could prove close competition over the coming months. There was also a keen battle between newcomers Paul Ford and Mark Birkett and the returning Daren Silcock. Next up on Tuesday 12/4/16 is the first of the APRs (handicap road race), meeting Duns Square at 6.30pm.
