A successful Berwickshire County Show at Duns (Saturday 6/8/16) attracted well over 50 people – from age 5 to 65 – to take a shot at the leg-breaking, lung-busting one-minute challenge on static bicycles. A kids mountain bike race was held on a tough hilly course and was won by Harry White, with the Clan stunt riders duo riding round with the leader.

On the TT front, Tuesday 2/8/16 saw the first running of the Swinton TT run over two laps of the Borders chain gang course for a distance just shy of 15 miles. Closest competition on the night was between Greig Moore and Neil Tait for fourth spot, with only a second between them. Paul Ford continued his progress by edging Anna White by 5s.

Two events are upcoming. Firstly, an event for children (who must be accompanied by an adult and wearing a helmet) – the one-mile challenge – meet at Simprim Sunday 14/8/16 at 10am. Secondly, the Hill Climb Championship of The Cleugh – meet Preston village hall Tuesday 16/8/16 at 6.30pm.
